My ultimate priority in individual psychotherapy is to cultivate a therapeutic relationship that is centered in empathy, compassion and trust. The most essential orientation I hold is to understand and attune to the soul signature and the nervous system of my clients. Collaboratively, I work with clients on developing therapeutic intentions through a strengths-based approach that encourages clients, through warmth, presence and humor, to connect to deeper awareness within themselves and explore larger perspectives.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that combines the administration of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic with rapid-acting antidepressant properties, with structured psychotherapeutic sessions. In this treatment, ketamine is used to induce a temporary non-ordinary state of consciousness, which can facilitate new insights and emotional processing during therapy. The aim of this work is to enhance the effectiveness of psychotherapy, particularly for individuals with treatment-resistant depression or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), by allowing them to access and address deep-seated issues more readily. The therapy involves careful dosing and monitoring by medical professionals, and it integrates traditional talk therapy and body based techniques to maximize therapeutic outcomes.

Psychedelic integration is an essential part of the process of using psychedelics in a therapeutic and healing way. It is the process of bridging the non-ordinary state with the ordinary state. The work here prioritizes supporting clients to root and ground their realizations from the psychedelic space into their lives, their bodies and relationships. Using Gestalt and Somatic Experiencing principles, I support my clients to reengage in the physical and mental processes initiated in the psychedelic experience in order for them to come to a place of ground, completion, stabilization and emotional regulation. At the same time, working to expand the expression of those insights, turning them into habits and actions that support more healing change and transformation. 

I have learned to appreciate that in the psychedelic psychotherapy process the complexities of conventional psychotherapy are amplified. What is known in conventional psychotherapy as transference and counter transference will become more pronounced and myriad different parts, personality traits, levels of consciousness, shadow material and transpersonal states will emerge within the field, for both the therapist and the client. As therapists, we need community and support from other clinician’s experiences, reflections, and perspectives.

Psychedelics are being used more and more widely and frequently all over the world and in many contexts and circumstances. Not all contexts are safe, sacred and surrounded by proper guidance, set and setting. There are trends of physical and emotional destabilization, spiritual emergencies and abuses of power occurring inside of psychedelic work. Challenging experiences of all kinds can emerge not only in poorly cultivated settings but also in very carefully curated ones. I care deeply about creating safe, responsible and sacred environments for these healing experiences to serve the clients that open themselves to these portals of transformation
