Marshal Rosenberg and the non-violent communication approach influenced my work especially when working with adjudicated youth and families in conflict. I believe his ideas and methods are worth being understood, studied and especially practiced and experienced.
In this audio interview, french writer and Buddhist monk Mathew Ricard talks about the possibility of practicing and training in happiness. This way to frame the process of being happy seems to be consistent with psychotherapy and the way I approach the possibility of a shift in consciousness. Dr. Gabor Mate talks about his understanding of addiction, its causes and pathways to healing and transformation. Gestalt therapy works with the understanding that we have the possibility of changing and growing when our homeostasis or "confront zone" is altered. This video is an example of a way a group of parisians travailing in a train had their homeostasis disrupted. Thank you to my friend and colleague Gonzalo Britto for publishing this at "cultivarlamente.com". Enjoy! |
